Vaxiva Biosciences is a private biopharmaceutical company, located in Tokyo, Japan which develops improved vaccines for protection against infectious diseases. Vaxiva is developing vaccines first for Japan, with further development in other Asian and worldwide territories.
Vaxiva is working with two different proprietary adjuvant technologies. Adjuvants are additives to vaccines that will enhance the immune response against a given target antigen. These adjuvants allow reformulation of existing vaccines to create safer and more effective products. The current product pipeline includes vaccines to protect against influenza and hepatitis B, though Vaviva’s technologies can be applied to almost any existing or newly-developed vaccine, including therapeutic vaccines for treating chronic diseases such as cancer and hepatitis.
